So You Want to Start a Dispatch Company: Healthy Eating Over the Road

A lot of times as truckers your faced with eating on the go at fast-food joints or loading up at the gas station on snacks. Being a Owner Operator comes with a lot of cost. Health insurance is one of them, staying in good health and being mindful of what we consume can play a major factor in your health and your pockets!

Meal Prep

Theres a method to the madness!

I know some drivers are not able to be home daily, for some even weekly. This doesn't mean you can’t meal prep and take it on the road. Invest in a 12V Refrigerator or a cooler depending on your type of truck. Make up some salads in a jar leaving wet ingredients and dressings packaged desperately. Purchase some fresh or canned fruit, if it needs to be kept cool you can put it in the fridge or in the cooler with ice and when you stop for fuel refresh your ice. You can bring cold cuts like turkey and ham leave some sliced for sandwiches and shred the rest for your salads. Bring crackers, peanut butter, a loaf of bread (wheat) lol, tunafish, etc. You can also meal prep hot foods and use microwaves at fuel stations to reheat and enjoy a home cooked meal OTR!
